ThePentiumGuy Posted January 1, 2004 Author Posted January 1, 2004 thanks a lot derek, i chose "windows hosting" instead of "frontpage hosting" so hopefully it will work with ASP.net Quote My VB.NET Game Programming Tutorial Site (GDI+, Direct3D, Tetris [coming soon], a full RPG.... you name it!) vbprogramming.8k.com My Project (Need VB.NET Programmers) http://workspaces.gotdotnet.com/ResolutionRPG

iebidan Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 I don't think free space servers will allow you to add the FW or any server side coding, will better for you to rent a space in another server, try the ones I'm using http://www.interland.com They have many plans and options for every need, just look at it Quote Fat kids are harder to kidnap
samsmithnz Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Yeh its a pity that ASP.NET (and asp) servers are so much more expensive. I use a little hoster from my hometown in NZ, and even though I have a Unix server to host my largely static pages, my provider was nice enough to give me a password to use the ASP.NET server (but I have only 10MB to use) Quote Thanks Sam http://www.samsmith.co.nz
iebidan Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Yeah, that's why I prefer to pay 40 bucks every month and have the support I need for my .NET things in the web, like testing and new developments that come to my mind Quote Fat kids are harder to kidnap
