now when i discovered that MySQL is not working (is partitialy working) with VB.NET what other databases do you suggest....

 

if anyone is interesting why does not work:

if you have in some table a field with TYPE set to TEXT/BIGTEXT then when selecting from this table you will get error "Table not found" if you don't use TEXT ... it works :)

 

so if you don't use TEXT type you can still use MySQL....

 

how much does MS SQL SERVER cost?

are there any other databases that handle more than 500.000 records and 10 users?

I would go with SQL Server 2000.

BTW, you should have the MSDE included with .NET, it's a limited version but it's free.

MySQL can work with .NET. It just takes some doing.
