hog Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 OK not strictly .NET but thought someone might know. I have an image which will be my sprite. When I draw it to screen I can see pixels which are in the transparecy area. I open the image in Paint, zoom in very large and have tried, erasing, changing to black, changing to white etc. But each time I save changes there are always a number of pixels which get changed back? I have the file as jpeg. I use this as the image is crisper than gif. Quote My website
Administrators PlausiblyDamp Posted November 27, 2003 Administrators Posted November 27, 2003 jpeg compression works on smooth tones and shades, the saving is probably introducing these artifacts as part of the compression process. Better using GIF or PNG in this case. Quote Posting Guidelines FAQ Post Formatting Intellectuals solve problems; geniuses prevent them. -- Albert Einstein
hog Posted November 27, 2003 Author Posted November 27, 2003 yeah, you are right thanks. Shame tho as the jpeg image looks much better. Quote My website
