Create my own file format?

Hi guys, im making a clock usercontrol for a program called Dashboard. Its going to be fully skinable, now my question is, is there some way i can make my own file format that would contain 5 bitmaps and a xml file, and i would be able to create and open it?

Sure. Write the file any way you want, and as long as you read it in the same way, it will work just fine.
