[VB.NET] Showing transparant gif files?

Hi guys, i'm creating a verry simple game, but somehow i'm not able to use transparant images, the places that should be transparant turn black.. i used gif files and png files, any thoughts on how to solve this?

Have you tried setting the transparency key for the form?

Is it something like windows.forms.form.transparancy? Can you give me some more information about that?

Whoops - misread your original post. Are you using picture boxes to display hte images or drawing them direct onto the form?

Are you sure its transparent? GIF images that have transparency, automatically draw with transparency for me, both in PictureBox and usig the Graphics object.
