davej4164 Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 I'm new to Crystal reports and struggling to get following to work: Data Rows: PartId Name Spec: 1 part1 spec1 1 Part1 spec5 1 part1 spec7 2 part2 spec1 2 part2 spec3 2 part2 spec4 2 part2 spec9 want to print two lines for each group: 1 part1 spec1 spec5 spec7 2 part2 spec1 spec3 spec4 spec9 I get the first line okay by simply including a group section for PartID & Name ... and can print the Specs on seperate lines using the detail section. Is there any way to suppress line advancement in the detail section or capture the data in the group section? I've trial and errored many formulas but have not been successful ... any help is certainly appreciated! Quote
mocella Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 I'm also curious about this. Had a report in Access that did that and couldn't figure it out with Crystal for .Net. Quote
Moderators Robby Posted November 4, 2003 Moderators Posted November 4, 2003 Do you mean each spec should be on the same line? Quote Visit...Bassic Software
LostProgrammer Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 You almost have it with the group by. In the details section, right click and go to section expert. On the common tab check format with multiple columns. Go to the layout tab and change the width of the column so that the number you want can appear. like some like to say - taadaa -lp Quote
