VS2005 and .NET FrameWork 1.1

I am working with an application that doesn't support the .NET 2.0 framework yet. But I want to use VS 2005 for development with this application. I there a way to develop in VS2005 but make use of the .NET 1.1 framework?

That ability is not supported by Visual Studio 2005. You can only do v2.0 of the framework with VS2005. But there is a possible work around: http://weblogs.asp.net/rmclaws/archive/0001/01/01/237179.aspx
