VB6 coding using the .Net IDE

Hi, I've got a relatively simple question:

Can you edit & recompile VB6 applications using the .Net (Visual Studio or VB .Net) IDE's? Or do you need to port the VB6 applications to .Net first?

You would need to port the code. There is a migration wizard as part of VB.Net but it is almost useless. A redesign and rewrite of the code is nearly always the best solution.
