Tabbed documents keep closing!

Using VS2005 Pro:

Every time I double click one of the files in my Solution Explorer, the IDE closes the tab I am on and opens the one I double clicked in a new tab.

This feature worked yesterday, but now the IDE just won't do it!

Is there a setting somewhere that enables multiple tabs to be open at once?

Try tools -> options -> documents and clear the entry for 're-use current window, if saved'
