reading information out of the GAC

Does anyone knows how you can read information out of the GAC: Does the GAC contains the assembly, what version is present in the GAC, what publickeytoken does the assembly has in the GAC...

Check out the following article for a fairly easy way of doing this using an internal class in the framework. If you would rather do it yourself by implementing some COM interfaces and calling functions in the Fusion dll, let me know and I'll post some of my code for you.
