Query string encryption

hi all i'm passing the user and password on query string encrypted
and there's speciall character the explore will replace it and this r not gone make me able to dercrypt it does any one have an idea about how to do this

use https and encryption is not necessary. encrypt and decrypt are taken care of for you

Or don't use a query string for this. What about a Session Cookie?
