Hey, I'm going to be taking my first MCSD exam in a couple weeks and I was wondering what is the best way to study/prepare for it? I have the book that
I need to study and I can somewhat grasp whats going on, but it's kind of tedious and some of the ideas are very abstract. Should I just continue to read the book and hope that I'll do well on the test or is there a website or a studyguide that will better prepare me for the test. Thanks!

Here's a thread where I talk about Transcender practice exams.

As a note: if you've NO practical experience in .NET, I would strongly encourage you to NOT take these tests. The purpose of the test isn't to prove that you can pass it, it's meant as a way to prove that you know the test's topics. With a lot of practicing in .NET, you should probably be able to pass most of the language based tests within a few months of using .NET. I would try and learn as much about .NET as you can, on your own. Then when you feel comfortable enough to write a program if someone requested it, then start practicing for the exams.

70-300 is the last test I took in the MSCD.net series, and it was by far the hardest to pass, mostly due to the rather subjective nature of the questions/answers.

I couldn't even imagine trying 70-300 without completing the other tests so you have a good understanding of how they ask questions and what the key concepts are (which is a good clue to how the 70-300 questions are answered).

Thank you guys very much. I'm getting the transcenders later this week. I do have a decent bit of knowledge about .NET, I've been using it for about 2 years and still learning. I'll go ahead and take your advice Nerseus about the information you posted in the thread. Much appreciated!
