pop up message box?

Can somebody teach me how to pop up a message box in IE?
I use msgbox("Hell"). But Error

"It is invalid to show a modal dialog or form when the application is not running in UserInteractive mode. Specify the ServiceNotification or DefaultDesktopOnly style to display a notification from a service application"

Any idea?

You need to do that in client-side script, like javascript which has alert("hello") and confirm("sure?") functions.
