Hiya,
Hiya everyone, iv just registered today. I am in the middle of upgrading a schools network to 2003 server with XP clients, I have all the users in a GPO, and all the machines in different areas segmented into separate GPOs. The problems arise with the GPO package deployment. I am trying to install Office XP on every machine, and have found that when I set it on the GPO, it wont install it at the client its as if it isnt even reading the GPO, but its doing everything else in the GPO, I have tried both applying it the computer and the user with no effect. Can anyone help?
I have checked the event log there are a couple of warnings saying an error was encountered while installing office xp, but it was not serious enough to halt the application, operation completed successfully.
I have tried every setting I can think of, from setting it to install to the computer and to the user, with no luck at all. If anyone give give me any pointers or ideas if would be much appreciated.
