Going nuts here...
1. I have .Net 1.0, VS 2002.
2. trying to open a crystal report (rpt) file and I keep getting:
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LogOnException: Logon failed.
I have so many links about this:

the rpt and app is on my laptop and SQL is on another server .
I have tried different userids/passwords, created rpt file from scratch but no use.. Even used Impersonation, but nope
what do i need to do??
