localhost start the page but IP dont!

Hi all, i can view my asp site when i put: http://localhost/default.asp
but when i use my ip things dont work and i get this error message:
Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A0005)
Invalid procedure call or argument: 'InStr'
/includes/get_app_variables.asp, line 97

why is that, please advice.

Maybe the IP is mapping to a folder containing a different version of the page that contains the error?
