Listview select column

I am quite a newbie with listview control.
I have the following questions :
Is it possible to select a subitem (highlight it, then make appear a combobox over it in a near future)
Is it possible to select an entire row ( highlighted ) ?

You can make it select a full row by turning on the FullRowSelect property of the listview. The built-in listview has no way of selecting individual columns, or hosting controls as subitems.
