Is there a way to make my descriptive label on my page to read vertically(up and down) rather than horizontally?

How do you want it ?
Do you want a text rotation of 90° left side ?
If it's what you want... I don't remember any Html property or CssStyle that does that. However... you could create a Bitmap a write the text vertically like you want.

It's not the best solution however (a patch solution until you find better). Finding better would eventually override this solution.
