I am kinda new in this technology. Can anyone suggest me some website or some goodbook I can refer to learn about the .NET platform in detail? Thanks in advance

I've found all of the Microsoft Press books extremely helpful. Specifically,
Programming Visual Basic.NET

Coding Techniques For Visual Basic.NET
also, if you don't have any real OO experience (ie. you're coming from VB6) then...
OOP with Visual Basic.NET and C#.NET

Thanks quwiltw. But I am looking for information on Dot Net OS and not the languages. I have OO experience but not with Visual Basic. Any help will be appriciated.

The .NET OS? Operating System? Are you sure you don't mean the
.NET framework? There are some very good books on the subject
there as well.

You might want to look at this book, as I've heard some pretty
good things about it.
