Code:

Microsoft HTML Help Compiler 4.74.8702

Compiling d:\Work\Projects\HTML Help Workshop test\Help\1.chm

HHC6000: Error: An internal file could not be created. Make certain

HHC5007: Error: Fatal navigational compilation error. This is likely the result

One thought might be to check out a third party help file creation program. There are some inexpensive programs that make help files very easy and quick without problems like yours.

I've been using one that's problem free and with almost no learning curve.
