I have created a VB.NET executable (Windows Forms) and I would like to protect my code taking advantage of the Dotfuscator that can be found in Visual Studio 2003.

I took a look at it but I could not understand its logic, i.e. the steps you should take to protect your exe.

Could anyone provide me with a step-by-step example showing how to encrypt/protect an executable?

TIA

I had the same trouble, but then I discovered its help file, which has lots of helpful information.

When I installed MS VS .NET 2003 on my computer I decided to exclude all the help files in order to save as much space as possible.

I thought your help could be much quicker and more concise than having to install it on my hard disk.

After all, many of the answers you provide us with are also contained in the VB.NET help file and you will agree with me that this forum would be a joke if you told your members "go and check the help file".
