Having Trouble With Icon

I made an icon for my program a long time ago and was able to set it as the window icon and shortcut icon for the program. Anyway, yesterday I tried to make a better one in photoshop but apparently I must be saving it wrong or something because vb.net is not letting me set it as the icon, the OK button is grayed out when I browse to the new icon.

I have attached the photoshop file for the icon:

You will need to convert the image to a .ico file, windows doesn't support using a .psd file as an icon.

I tried to do that but I might have done it the wrong way. In photoshop I go to File -> Save As but under File Type they dont have .ico so I choose .bmp but in the File Name box I type Icon.ico and it appears that it works but apparently something isn't working right.

A .bmp isn't an icon file and giving it a .ico extension isn't enough. You will to convert the .bmp to a valid .ico file.

http://www.coolutils.com/Online-Image-Converter.php might do the trick.

it is working but for some reason it is also resizing the icon to 16x16.. i would like the icon to be atleast 32x32.. any idea why it is doing this?

nevermind.. after you posted that website it made me think to search for photoshop and icons and i found a plugin for photoshop to save as an Icon.
