Got to be simple???

I have a form with a combo box on it and I want to be able to fill it with data from a database. I have created the database file but I am having trouble trying to understand how to bind it to the combo box. If anyone can give a begginer a push in the right direction I would be greatful, as long as it is not off a cliff.
