Free E-Mail Providers

Yeah, use an e-mail client and not web based mail. Outlook Express, Eudora, whatever. That way all your mail is stashed on your HD and you don't have to worry about space. :P
 
You should see how much it costs to get an e-mail address from your ISP, and it's usually pretty cheap. More reliable too. I think mine is $4.99 a month or something from my ISP.
 
If you want your own domain you'll have to register it (usually costs around $8/year). You should call your ISP and see what they offer in terms of providing e-mail for your own domain name. I bet you'll have to pay for hosting too though. :P

You won't get a virus unless you actually open the attachment. :P Even so, you should be backing up your HD periodically anyway.
