Taking system.io.streamwriter as an example.

What is the system.io bit actually called?

And if i know that i needed to use streamwriter, but i didnt know what needed to go infront of it (system.io) how can i find this out?

type streamwriter then position your cursor on the text and press F1, or type streamwriter in the serch help dialog:)
