Error – Hendling

I am making [Client – Server] programs witch communicates with server over IP. I want to know is there any need to set Error handling code? By that I mean does this protocol has own error correction part or do I need to make it?
I hope that you will understand me.

Depends whether you're using UDP or TCP. The latter needs little additional error handling at the protocol level, while the former needs quite a bit.
