difference between .NET and VS

You can use .NET languages in VS.NET and you can't in VS.

It's like asking the differences between Windows 3.11 and Windows 95 - they're completely different. If you want, the .NET environment can use the keyboard mappings as they were in VS but you can always tweak them later.

What are you looking for, a reason to upgrade or just curious?
