difference between compile and build

hey can anyone tell me what is the difference between compiling an application and building an application.:rolleyes: :confused:
 
No difference, really. I suppose you *might* say compiling just compiled the object files while Building actually linked them as well (which builds the final EXE or DLL). They're usually used to mean the same thing though.
