Detecting SMTP Mail transfer completion

Hi i posted this b4 but i duno where the post went so i'll ask again

is there any method of detecting when the mail message has completed it's upload, i.e. message and attachment

like can u make the mail message send sumfing back indicating it's done


this is using the system.web namespace and the SMTP Mail function
 
I have the same problem. I want to detect when is my server done sending the mails in the queue, how large is the queue etc.

Is there a way?

i figured there isn't any real way.. becoz
once all checks are successful and the message information is passed down to ur e-mail client the e-mail is sent and taken over by windows so i guess the only way is to find sum sort of way to detect the port if its in use and transfer is active, but alot of trouble
