Big Trouble: text is being truncated

Our vendor app database has a table with a field "Image". In this field text in addition to images are save. I can not change the database or the vendor app would break

So far so good..

In my ASP.Net app, when users type in a text, I hold the text in String variable and pass it to the Stored Procedure, to the field "Image"...

But the text is truncated!! Looks like 8000 chars are passed.. What can I use besides "string" variable to hold more and pass all of the text??
 
It's not the String type that is causing the truncation. What data type and size is the parameter in your stored proc?
