Application cannot start VS.Net Error

Every time I try to start VS.Net I recieve a MessageBox saying "Application cannot start", the solution when you click the help button is to reinstall the application which I did 7 times, I even reinstalled Windows but the message still appears, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the CDs and the Setup's error log is blank
 
do you run the component update and check the VS web site for service releases after you installed?
 
I solved the problem, there was probably some DLLs left around, I had to reformat my harddrive then I had no problems
