Same problem, it hapens even when i close the design mode for a form with a tabcontrol with datagrid control on a tab.
i've installed SP2 and the problem remains. Can anybody give me a direction on how 2 eliminate this? it's not fatal, but annoying.

Have you messed around in InitializeComponent? Make sure you are not calling any method that tries to access the window before it is created.
