    .Net Setup Help

Did MS ship you the CD or did you buy it in a store? And how many CDs are in the set?
  5. Open Search Help in .Net and enter 'walkthrough', you will be able to build a few sample apps from start to end. Or you can search for 'samples' but you may not learn as much.
  6. I just reads the rest of your post.... "please tell me,is it OK to buy the .NET software... " That's up to you, you can start reading this http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dndotnet/html/actxvnetcontrols.asp from MS.
  7. You can find the 20Mb download here... http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/default.asp?url=/downloads/sample.asp?url=/msdn-files/027/001/829/msdncompositedoc.xml
  8. What do the menus look like (on your XP) in other apps (Word, Access etc.) As Thinker said, it must be your XP settings (theme)
  9. recessed? Are you using the MainMenu control? It looks like a normal menu.
  10. 'into my Print button's click event'... That's a good move.
  11. are the variables (Input1 ..5) going to be used in a calculation of a numeric nature?
  12. I found the 'Walkthroughs' in the .NET help to be very helpful. Also, MSDN
  13. Anothony, you can download IIS from MS at no charge.
  14. Seeing that TheIrishCoder answered your questions already, I just wanted to add that I got VS .NET last week and it has an amazing IDE. The first couple of days I felt like a non-programmer, novice, know-nothing... There is so much documentation to read on MSDN that it's a bit overwhelming. There is an Upgrade-Wizard (converts VB6 to .NET), this helps you compare both versions and understand what's going on. Also there are many sample projects which allow you to follow step by step . Good luck.
  15. I figured it out. I don't know why MSDN says that you can't. Oh well.
  16. Is there any way to use a custom cursor in VB.NET?
