  1. Cool, thanks div :)
  2. As y'all know, this is totally outside my expertise, but I thought I'd ask on behalf of one of my coworkers. We have a server with very little free space on its C: drive -- 50Mb free, in fact. So far we haven't been able to figure out a way to install the .NET framework with such a limitation, and haven't seen any way to install it to a different drive other than the one on which the OS is installed. Anyone have any suggestions on a best approach to deal with this limitation (other than dropping back to VB6)?
  3. Sorry for the outage. We were having some hardware problems.
  4. With this version of vBulletin, you need to either use the standard "Post Reply" option; or if using quick reply, then separately click the "Subscribe to this Thread" link. vBulletin 3 does automatically subscribe you to quick reply threads if your profile is set that way, so I am sure when we upgrade this site, you will have that option. (And no, we have no date for that yet, since vB3 is still in private beta testing.)
  5. That setting will not automatically be used for quick replies. If you use the post reply button instead of the quick reply box at the bottom of a thread, then it will automatically subscribe you (if you have that set in your user options). If you do quick replies, though, you need to separately click the "subscribe" link to subscribe to the thread.
  6. #dotnetforums is now open for business! :) Use the chat button at the top of each page of the forum, or use an IRC client such as mIRC and direct it to irc.extremetechsupport.com:6667, then join #dotnetforums. We're pleased to have this separate channel available now for real-time help on all your .NET questions. Enjoy.
  7. Done now. Sorry for the delay. :)
  8. As Banjo said, the idea has merit and is being considered. Please be patient. If we decide to add it, you'll see it on the index page. :)
  9. I believe you can just subtract the two dates in question, then convert the result to seconds. DateDiff will only work in Access queries; it is not standard SQL.
  10. How is that field defined in your database?
  11. They will be added here too, when time permits. :)
  12. * lebb glances at Bob, chuckles quietly, and refrains from further comment ;)
  13. I really can't see that it's needed; the Post Reply button is there for such bells and whistles as previews and attachments; the quick reply box doesn't seem to need them... IMHO, of course.
  14. Indexing all 3-letter words would be a huge additional strain on the database. To search for a 3-letter word, use a wildcard, such as ADO*.
  15. Nice, thanks Bob! :)
