  1. I appreciate it can do alot more but there are so many changes that progress is slow. Also .NET seems to do alot of things in the background which are making the PC sluggish to work on.
  2. I haven't created an exe yet. I've tried using the rebuild function. To run it I press the play button. Am I missing something as a .NET newbie?
  3. I found it and bought it at Insight who were very efficient.
  4. No. I just deleted a few objects and put some different ones on. I was just experimenting with .NET. When I run it the original form still appears.
  5. Hi, I've just written my first program since moving from VB6. I have made some changes to the form and added a module but when I run it they don't appear and the form looks like it did before I made the changes, though in the background design environment I can see how the form should look. Is this normal? If not how do I get .NET to accept the changes? Ta
  6. I think the problem is that .NET hasn't updated any changes I've made recently, including adding the 3rd party module. When I run it I still get the old program. Something new in .NET?
  7. Does anybody else feel like a complete novice with VB.NET after years of VB6 experience? Does it get better? What used to take minutes is now taking days. Hmmpff. :D not!
  8. Hi Grimfort, Thanks for the reply and I can now read the text! But the variables are all declared as Public which is the most accessible in VB.NET isn't it, as there's no Global now? Do I have to declare the module or something in .NET? Another option would be to paste the whole module into the form but that would be messy!
  9. Hi, I've just moved to .NET from VB6 and am having teething problems. I have written a DigOut command in the form code, the variables for which are declared in a module supplied by the I/O card manufacturer. I have included this module in the solution but in the form code it's still telling me the variables haven't been declared. Any ideas? Ta Also, as I'm using the help more often now, can anyone tell me if I can increase the size of the help font?
  10. Howdy, Is Amazon the only supplier of Visual Studio.NET Pro in the UK? I can't buy stuff over the internet for the company. I can get VB.NET standard at PC World but can I 'ell as like get hold of VS.NET Pro! Cheers
