  1. I WANT MY SPITFIRE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. if you want to control motors, have you ever heard of BASICSTAMP?? or for those more c inclined JAVASTAMP (ooo did i just include the bad bad sun word??) search google for either one and it will direct you to the company that makes them, you can get the whole development kit for around 170 bucks (that is the basic, of course they have toys that go along with it) the stamps themselves are not too terribly bad, but can get expensive if you dont' have a product to put them in. great for controlling motors and such... i guess old robotics engineers never really die, we just find other things to spend our money on.
  3. you can however get the redistributable from M$oft's website for DX9
  4. dan, morbid i dunno what i am doing really question, does asp.net support try{ } catch? if so you may wish to couch your code in one or more of those and treat it like a transaction rather than pulling your hair out, of which i personally have very little left.
  5. crystal in vb is nothing new, if you have VS.NET there is a report wizard, just drop your db connection onto a form and the report generator will pretty much take care of the rest, don't ask how to make a report after the wizard is done, cause crystal and i don't get along.
  6. PCP (pretty code print, not the 70's version) allowed you to print your entire project in one fell swoop, so you could document your code or fish through a routine to find the bugs, the guy who wrote it hasn't come up with a .net version yet, so was wondering if someone had a tool for printing code or do i suffer till serge gets one done.
  7. To print an entire project, for vb6 i had (have) pretty code print, but when i checked out VBCITY they don't seem to have one for .NET yet. if not i'll sit and print it all out in notepad or something similar...
  8. dag nabit, and here i was ready to show off the one thing i know in vb.net and dynamic beat me too it...
  9. over educated construciton worker. bsme mcp mcdba mcse (pro-tem) work for irrigation company doing service stuff since i can't find a programming position anywhere. been writing code freelance and in a real job since 1979.....god i'm gettin old.
