Which will be shut off unless they change the time it takes for everything to load. Last time I tried over there it had to load over 100 objects and took over 5 secs. If a 56k user tried to load it they would be able to have lunch while they waited. There are a few features that they have added that will probably be shut off. The reason I want to upgrade to it is not because of the new features for users it's because it will be more efficient with less querries and the admin section will make it easier to work with. The one user feature that I look forward to is threaded view. You will once again be able to know exactly who is replying to what you post. I just hope we get picked as one of the beta sites.

Since this is a done deal there isn't much you can do. I do know that Ebay has a rule when selling software that it has to original un-opened box or if it is an open box it can only be sold as part of a bundle with a peice of hardware. You have a legit complaint since the item arrived open. His ad says unopened original. Since it was open you can and should ask for a refund. If he gives you any problems then dispute the charges at Paypal and file a complaint with Ebay. If you were able to activate it, and it looks like you did, and are happy with it then let Ebay know that this guys auction was not truthful. You might want to include in the feedback you give this seller that the item was opened and didn't fit the description that he had.

J# came with mine. It was an extra CD all by itself and I didn't see it until I emptyed the contents of the box.

It's housecleaning time again. If you can't login and get username invalid there is a good chance that you were removed. I purged the database of all users that had: 0 posts and/or haven't logged in for 3 months. Any user that hasn't logged in for 6 months no matter how many posts you had. If you haven't visited or posted for a while and were removed you will have to sign up again. This is done every 3 months to make sure the member count is acurate. Sorry about the inconvenience.

This is being fixed now. I'm removing all threads left over from ExVBF. Search should work within the next couple hours. There are over 70,000 orphaned threads that are messing up the search.

I have seen it happen. I also notice that if I reply to a thread and then go back to the main page all threads will be marked read. I have found that this is not a problem with vbulletin but is a problem with browser settings. I have experimented and if you have the option to check for new versions of a page set to always the problem exists. Setting it to auto or once a session cures it.

"All the images fail to load" Are you using ie6 service pack1? There is a known issue with sp1 and missing gifs.

Fixed. Somehow thr path to the file dir got changed.

The attachment problem is going to a bear to straighten out. I made a huge codng mistake when I added it. I didn't comment all of the db changes so I am trying to figure out what exactly I did. The index that the error reflects in a field I added called filedata is what is messing things up. The files go into a dir intead of vb's default which is to be stored in the db. The only thing added to the db is an index. I cleared that field, but, until I find my changes to the db layer they won't work.

I'll get to the attachments problem.

These are the available styles for the moment: VolteBlue Lite with Blue Lite with no Graphics Lite Grey I have turned the rest off. They will be turned back on when I have time to make the changes to them to make them compatible with the new version of the software. Sorry about this monor inconvenience.

Welcome. The dust still isn't settled and things are being worked on as we go. Bear with us for the next couple days until we get everything running as smoothly as it does at ExVBF. Some things you will notce over here. Your post count will be smaller than at ExVBF. The reason? I removed all posts that aren't .NET specific. Some thread pointers in profiles will be wrong. This will be corrected when the counters and searchindex is updated after old threads are removed. Enjoy the new site and if you find any problems post them in the Bugs and Fetures forum.

Two new styles. Black and White. Nothing fancy just something plain for users that want something simple and easy on the eyes. To change to one of them head into the control panel and edit your options.

When there is a new reply an arrow icon appears next to the post. By clicking on that icon you'll go directly to the new replies. I will have new icons to show when there is new posts in each forum. I just have to find the right ones. I want a set of buttons like WinXP has for close, minimize, maximize. You know the red, green yellow ones. The icons I ripped are too small.
