  1. fwah.. ya MS decided to take out the audio video .. in summer update seriously dun ask me.. y i also would like to know y 2. cos 900 video reference is incompatiable with 901 references of DX hence ur error.. i guess
  2. it may work only its not a 100% full gurantee.. esp the font class n some other stuff.. but if u compile all under 900 and no probs running tada u have video
  3. no point doing video using SDK 9.0B it will not work properly.. and yea u can no longer the 9.0A SDK.. how "wonderful.." u will haf errors popping sooner or later using cross reference
  4. its apalling .. MS.. updated to 9.0B and a whole video reference was no longer supported for MDX...
  5. are u using the correct references use the 900 references for ALL DX .. in ur project reason so MS tried to be i dunno ... ****????** the summer update 9.0B (901 references) does not contain support for hte video hence that could be a reason y ur video is not able to work properly only the 9.0A SDK works.. n now u can no longer dl it.. its not ur code i guess. but den again if u revert to 900 there wld be a lot of problems in ur code.. sooner or later.. Hope MS comes out with the 901 reference for video...
  6. this is totally dumb.. MS updated to DX 9.0b SDK and now they remove the Video reference from it.. therefore one has to use the DX 9.0A SDK to code the video.. but wts the point when the sdk is no longer avaliable for download PLUS there are alot of things missing in DX 9.0A.. espcially font stuff and some other stuf.f.. MS.. i wld say did not do a very good job in upgrading to 9.0B...
  7. nothing wrong with the update use 1.0.1901.0. as ur references.. yeah.. the audio and video api is very little.. there is from stream i thought though i usually use read from file.. if not u can use unmanaged c++ ..
  8. but at least.. make the managed documentation better.. its quite pathetic to see one liners.. in such a big sdk.. very sad..case for developers starting out on managed code.. i got stuck on rendering video.. to a texture.. using managed.. =(
  9. i seen the dx sample (misc > c# > texture) it shown a cylinder rendering a video as a texture.. the code had some eventhandlers.. but den .. it only starts rendering when it has a texture render.. and i tried to insert a boolean into the TextureRenderEventArgs so that i can render in my Onpaint or render overrides.. but it couldnt work.. has anyone sucessfully managed to render a video as a texture?.. help needed...
